The Church Scandal
By
James Bredin

The bishop had a tall spiked ornate hat and a frown on his face,
He didn't seem to realize that the church was in disgrace,
He looked as though he was going to give some strange sinner hell,
From his big high ornate bishop's chair, he said everything was well.

The congregation will have to disregard the sex and the sins,
Forget the pedophile priests who are still lurking and win,
We just transferred them to another parish very far away,
Can't blame them just because they're priestly pedophile and gay.

It's just a human weakness that the church has to accept
And those media attacks were much more than we should expect,
We just can't send these poor holy pedophile priests to jail,
This is not how the church operates and we have always prevailed.

The Loony Left are at it again
By
James Bredin
The loony left have come out from under their rocks to demand change,
In the guise of Toronto Public Health drug strategy at this stage,
Funded from the Ontario HIV treatment network group,
This has been going on for over a year so we're out of the loop.

Drug addicts are now given needles instead of being sent to jail,
They feel that a new injection site is proper and would prevail,
Their research will focus on the impact of this injection site,
Have you ever read or heard anything so dumb in your life?

Is this a sign that we've all gone mad or lost complete control?
Or have certain politicians and their appointees sold their souls?
Catering to street drug addicts will have the wrong impact,
Just because they do it in Vancouver is no reason to react.

It is not possible to vote for our prime minister by name?
It is not possible to have set-date elections but who to blame?
Can't have propositions that the Americans seem to like,
Or referendums like the Swiss because our politicians dislike.

You will seldom read about these problems in the media,
They may or may not be listed in your encyclopedia,
We get an appointed governor general and old senators,
We need to change this system and be originators.

Will someone please write a real political Charter of Rights,
For normal Canadians and not only those on incoming flights,
Please no more political appointees in every fancy chair,
Canadians should elect them or reject them by name so take care.

Compulsory Voting
By
James Bredin

Compulsory voting and binding referendums are not allowed,
Neither are US type propositions so don't feel so proud,
You might wonder what our politicians could tax or screw up next,
We cannot recall them or fire them under any pretext.

Do you remember that promise about a set-date election?
They were busy at the time so there was a disconnection,
And their parole boards are busy too, allowing cons out of jail,
The remainder are worried about global warming in case we fail.

A little more than half Canadians might or might not vote,
And proportional representation is not allowed in this boat,
But we need leadership to bring about some decent change,
Compulsory voting and referendums should be arranged.

Maybe Bigger Jails

By

James Bredin

It sometimes appears as though our prisons are much too small,
And judges are worried that prisoners might be involved in a brawl,
Therefore parole boards are inclined to let far too many criminals out,
Despite the victims' pleas but these parole boards never have a doubt.

Parole Board political appointees should feel ashamed,
This is probably why you seldom if ever hear them named,
They're more interested in letting prisoners out than in jail,
Don't you dare even think that we as a society have failed.

It doesn’t take a lot of brains to know that we need bigger jails,
It is not necessary to be told the whole gory details,
About appointed parole boards letting dangerous criminals out,
To maybe continue their crimes as they freely walk about.

By
James Bredin

Some socialist media moguls and their special-interest friends,
Have their own not-so secret agendas and far-left-wing trends,
They love the pompous parole boards that let the criminals out,
And in their righteous editorials they never have a doubt.

They're opposed to bigger and better jails and twist the reasons why,
Do-good social workers can solve all the problems that might apply,
And statistics from here and there and some strange left-wing memoranda,
Bent facts and figures anyway in their odd-ball propaganda.

Therefore the government should not build bigger jails of any kind,
Because we live in a very safe place and the crime rate declined,
And the government should sit down and discuss this issue now,
Let more criminals out of jail than the parole boards now allow.

Cancel all Parole Boards 5
By
James Bredin

I'm more than a little worried about Parole Board decisions,
Allowing criminal murderers loose without much revisions,
And the whole process is accepted as normal and routine,
And what can we do about this dictatorial obscene machine?

Victim's rights are meaningless to parole board appointees,
Even if the victims plead and scream and get down on their knees,
Why do we need parole boards -- has anyone figured that out?
Why can't these prisoners do their time instead of out and about?

Appointed Parole Boards are into prisoners' rights -- not victims' rights,
They're into political correctness in their lofty heights,
Remote and far away and out of touch with reality,
And what they decide cannot be viewed as abnormality.

How do we get propositions?
By
James Bredin

I am jealous of the Americans and their propositions,
Many Canadians would like to have these proper conditions,
Where we could vote "yes," or "no," to change things or not,
Instead of politicians who pompously announce that we cannot.

Public issues such as taxes and too many regulations,
Out of touch with we the people and their lack of communications,
Isolated Ottawa bureaucracy dictatorships,
Where the people are obedient in these relationships.

We can't change the Parole Boards as they let criminals out of jail,
Acting as though they are right and couldn't ever ever fail,
Without propositions or binding referendums we all loose,
There is no excuse for all this bureaucratic abuse.

Another Need for Referendums
By
James Bredin

Government bureaucracies tend to be as rigid as stone,
While the rest of us ordinary folk tend to groan and alone,
The Parole Board is a graphic example of this power,
Where court decisions and prison sentences are lowered.

You heard about those parole boards that tend to let the prisoners loose,
Letting free thieves, robbers, murderers, rapists and other abuse,
And no one seems to question their decisions so therefore they're right,
But who are these political appointees who don't seem too bright?

There's obviously something wrong that needs badly to be fixed,
Or the politically correct are in command with their tricks,
Their clemency and pardons are directed by their regulations,
A reason for no referendums to stop these complications.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, I'm sure you know by now,
They claim that you are strengthening the powers of the PMO office,
But you remember what the Liberals did while they were in office.

The list of things they claim that you are doing is a mile long,
Real heavy-duty reading even for a person who is strong,
They suggest that you are manipulating to stay ahead,
I suggest you give referendums to Canadians instead.

Because binding referendums would stop them in their tracks,
And their agitators who tend to mix up what they claim are facts,
This would shake the left-wing Liberals right out of their boots,
Don't underestimate them and their left-wing agitating recruits.

Impact statements seem useless to an appointed parole board,
And there's nothing we can do about it so they have all scored,
That's the thieves, the addicts, the murderers and appointees,
Then they add their arrogant attitude for everyone to see.

How do we cancel all parole boards or should we bother to ask?
Unfortunately politicians think it's a disagreeable task,
But someone should do something to stop the disagreeable trend,
As they release more vicious prisoners and then they all pretend.

It's impossible to shake a giant parole board bureaucracy,
People in so called democracy looking up at aristocracy,
Who have long ago allowed a left wing agenda to control,
Eventually no doubt, we the people will have to pay the toll.

Cancel All Parole Boards 3
By
James Bredin

It sometimes seems as if we are all going to hell in a basket,
The murdered victim we knew was taken away in a casket,
The parole board monster bureaucracy might give information,
Of the murderer's distant hearing at their far away location.

They claim they are protecting us with vicious murderers and thieves,
As they release them from prison and demand that we believe,
And to hell with the victims of crime and their impact statements,
Trying to change the Parole Board's agenda for prisoner abatements.

The prisoner can move to the far end of the country at our expense,
In the ordinary world, this would make absolutely no sense,
As the Parole Board claims to contribute to our safety,
The contrast between them and reality is subtlety.

Cancel All Parole Boards 2
By
James Bredin

In a world where the politically correct let prisoners loose,
Through appointed parole boards for some who just escaped the noose,
But nothing can be said or changed because that would be impolite,
And our politicians all think that everything is alright.

Where video impact statements to them, mean nothing at all,
Because talking to a parole board is like talking to a wall,
Unless you're a prisoner murderer who wants to be released,
And your murdered victims have of course long ago deceased.

And those who count wont allow Canadian referendums,
That might return justice and interfere with their conundrums,
And the first referendum should involve those parole boards,
Binding referendums to let Canadians know they scored.

Cancel All Parole Boards
By
James Bredin

Who selected these soft left wing parole board appointees?
Trying to release all the prisoners on day parole as they please,
Their ambition seems to be; let all the vicious prisoners loose,
Though in another time some of them would have goten the noose.

It seems we are all going mad and politically correct,
Is it the judges, the lawyers, the politicians we select?
Why do these parole boards want to let all the prisoners out?
Have they appointed other friends so there would be no doubt?

While we look on helplessly wondering what to say or do,
And their politicians announce that there should be more  than a few,
Would it mean anything to them if we got down on our knees?
Why do victim impact statements mean nothing to these appointees?

Do these appointed parole boards have their own secret agenda?
Have they been listening to one sided prisoner propaganda?
Is this a reason we are forbidden binding referendums?
We might cancel all the parole boards and their release quorums.

We have a different justice system for young criminal hoods,
There's no need for them to feel ashamed or run and hide in the woods,
Where our Youth Criminal Justice Actis considered a joke,
And criminally inclined teenagers have a chance to provoke.

Accountability does not seem to come into play,
The degree of leniency seems forever on display,
Where murderers under twelve cannot be named or even charged,
Though a terrorist shooting a machine gun and camouflaged.

Emphasis is placed on keeping the offender in the community
So we have hoods with what seems an acquired immunity,
Where the protection of society does not come into play,
Where soft weird political correctness has come to stay.

Legal System -- not Justice System
By
James Bredin

Their soft-on-crime justice system has slowly fallen apart,
Sentences in months served instead of years, breaks a person's heart,
And the isolated judges and lawyers don't seem to care,
They're more interested in the legal system than what is fair.

And no one, absolutely no one, will point a finger at them,
Those who are politically correct will never condemn,
We got rid of capital punishment a long time ago,
Political correctness crept in and helped criminals to go.

Is it the judges, the lawyers, the system or politicians?
And what can we do to change these soft-on-crime conditions?
We have no binding referendums so politicians don't care,
And we can't change the system so Canadians should beware.

Authority and Respect
By
James Bredin

There's something wrong here but no one seems to know how to object,
If it's not politically correct it might show disrespect,
While their appointed soft-on-crime judges make weak decisions,
And left wing media say that there is no need for revisions.

Majority governments are good for politicians but that's all,
They are not good for ordinary people who may have to crawl,
No need for binding referendums when they have the power,
Why should they change things and obstruct their view from the tower?

The Liberals were there before and want to do it once more,
As though we can't remember why we're in an Afghanistan war,
Majority political parties are full of hypocrisy,
And behave as though they are appointed aristocrisy.

A Dame that looked like you
By
James Bredin

Were your that girl who almost made me mad, fifty years ago?
That was long before the pill when good girls always said "No!"
With straight black seams in your nylon stocking down the back of your legs,
The world seemed slower and simpler then with different rules and regs.

While passing, I just caught a quick glance of your name tag and your face,
As you sat with the others in the lobby of the seniors' place,
You didn't recognize me because I too have grown old,
Don't look a bit like I did when I was young and very bold.

But you still look good or is that my memory playing tricks?
Should I introduce myself but that was always a risk,
Because dames who looked as good as you, had nothing to do with me,
You could have picked anyone you wanted as far as the eye could see.

A WAR OVER THERE
By
James Bredin

A war here, a famine there, group genocide that we are aware,
Maybe an earthquake or tidal wave calling for soldiers over there?
At what point will we realize that we can't cure all the wrongs?
When one half the world and the other half may not get along.

And being politically correct doesn't seem to help one bit,
Where more than half of our UN members don't seem to give a shit,
But tax-and-spend politicians seem to feel that they are so cool,
Maybe a noble peace prize here somewhere in this bloody pool.

But they got where they are in a system of first past the post,
No equalization or proportional representation to boast,
Where politicians talk about a war and their self righteous rules,
Will someone open a window and let in some light for these fools?

THE LIBERALS ARE COMING
By
James Bredin

Those Liberals may eventually climb out from under their rock,
Because they have lots of followers in their big left-wing flock,
The problem is: they may eventually regain power once more,
And we will then get another monster reign like we did before.

Are they the ones who made the criminal Young Offenders Act?
Where young vicious criminals can't be named and that's a fact?
Therefore now is the time to circumvent these eventualities,
With binding referendums before we are again casualties.

Or rewrite Trudeau's Charter of Rights so that it's just for us,
Not "Everyone" in the world where they each cause such a fuss,
We just can't keep on going as we are as if nothing will change,
Because Liberals are waiting in the wings and this is not strange.

DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM OF EXPECTATION
By
James Bredin

In the first-past-the-post system, the loosers gets elected,
And then the voters know that they have been disconnected,
Because more people voted against the one that was elected,
But then the system can't be changed as should be expected.

Collectively, the loosers got many more votes as a group,
But it doesn't matter because they are kept out of the loop,
And proportional representation is completely banned,
First-past-the-post is not how democracy should be planned.

The problem is that no political party wants change,
As their leaders pompously announce that this would be strange,
But most countries have adapted proportional representation,
To improve the democratic system of expectation.

Can't Question the System
By
James Bredin

Why are so many of our appointed judges so soft on crime?
Some even demand publication bans for names of the slime,
Why did first-past-the-post politicians pick them to be judges?
Is there something we don't see here or is this a case for nudges?

Why should our independent judiciary be so soft on crime?
Not like years ago or long ago or once upon a time,
Are the jails too small or full or is there something we don't know?
Or have the courts gone so soft that they are now a road show?

Did they make the proper contributions and donations?
To secure their appointments in secret consultations?
Something is not right when so many criminals walk our the door,
Why does this goes on and on quietly and we have to ignore?

Real Canadian Dreams
By
James Bredin

Why do we have politicians who tend to lie about taxes?
Evasive secretive types without announcements or faxes,
And then they appoint judges who are extremely soft on crime,
Many who made large contributions much more than a dime.

We need compulsory voting with a fine for those who don't vote,
To be collected with income taxes with explanatory note,
This would stop the party politicians with their secret schemes,
And help those of us real people with real Canadian dreams.

Those who appoint the soft-on-crime judges should also be named,
So that we can trace back to politicians who should be shamed,
We need some strong intelligent leadership to shake off this despair,
Elected -- not appointed friends of friends who really don't care.

Welcome Back Prime Minister
By
James Bredin

Prime Minister Harper: I have lots of good advice for you,
Now that you're back and the great golden Olympics are through,
We need binding referendums so the people can have control,
In case the Liberals, God forbid, should regain a power role.

Trudeau's Charter gave rights to "Everyone" on the globe,
Conferred by those appointees wearing a Supreme Court robe,
We could change the Constitution and have binding referendums put in,
That would put normal Canadians back in the saddle again.

I realize of course that this is one hell of a big job,
But it has to be done in order to avoid the Liberal mob,
They are just waiting in the wings to be first past the post,
They don't  want proportional representation at any cost.

Politicians and the Winter Olympic Games
By
James Bredin

So we won lots of gold medals at the winter Olympic games,
Photographs of the heroes in the press with their pictures and names,
Now if we could only figure out how to fix political stuff,
Or leave parliament closed down for a while and tell them that's enough.

Or have a referendum about referendums right now,
Either once a year, binding, or added at election time somehow,
But first-past-the-post politicians don't like referendums,
They're busy doing nothing or writing memorandums.

And soon they will open parliament and kick up a great fuss,
About nothing, that some committee will eventually discuss,
It's all up in Ottawa somewhere very far away,
Will they make us feel proud like the winter Olympic display?

Privately Run Jails
By
James Bredin

Proportional representation may be a deadly sin,
The way our politicians look at it, they feel they can't win,
Therefore it's banned outright and cannot be whispered or spoken,
Or the constitution or Trudeau's Charter might be broken.

And the media trained people go along with the notion,
Left-wing propaganda with no changes allowed or commotion,
No recall and no binding referendums will be allowed,
Where soft-on-crime courts and appointed judges feel so proud.

The people want all criminals to be named and stay in jail,
Not still unknown, moving around committing more crimes while on bail,
Why should this be so difficult to explain and understand?
We need bigger and privately run jails in this great land.

First Past the Post
By
James Bredin

If three candidates run for election, two of the three will loose,
Though the winner will have less votes than the two, it's not abuse,
It's called first-past-the-post -- not proportional representation,
Which most of the world has adopted because of frustration.

Unfortunately our politicians seem to oppose this scheme,
Though they know that first-past-the-post could be political extreme,
Changes are strictly forbidden in their democratic delay,
Though they know it could improve elections but they wont say.

Maybe some day in the distant future, we'll see a change,
We have no binding referendums so we just can't arrange,
Various committees will study this issue and report,
But in first-past-the-post system they don't need your support.

Proportional Representation Forever Delayed
By
James Bredin

The people want better ballots but politicians wont allow,
They want to maintain their first-past-the-post system as it is now,
Where the political loosers take most of the people's votes,
And proportional representation is something no one promotes.

The winner of an election does not need a majority,
Reality and first-past-the-post says a minority,
Therefore most of the electorate are not represented,
Where electoral changes are said to be resented.

Most of the world has switched to proportional representation,
After a lot of lack of representation and frustration,
But our appointees, politicians and media want no change,
Are we missing something here because it does seem strange?

HUMAN RIGHTS AND CRIMINAL RIGHTS
By
James Bredin

Is there a point where human rights and criminal rights meet?
Is it at their injection sites, their needle exchange sites or the street?
Is it in the court house where soft-on-crime decisions are made?
How can we get away from their judicial masquerade?

What caused this: a federal, provincial or a UN Act?
Amnesty International agency or a Supreme Court fact?
Do criminals have more Charter rights and have we lost our way?
Why have all court decisions gone soft and our feet stuck in clay?

Do we need binding referendums just to get back on track?
Or should we consult with a heroin addict doing crack?
Are we so afraid we might discriminate that we can't think?
Did that criminal just get off with a wink, to see his shrink?

Can we improve the system?
By
James Bredin
Appointed senators have always voted the way they were told,
Because Canadian appointees are not allowed to be bold,
Appointed governor generals too are not allowed to change,
Democratically speaking, this might seem quite strange.

The people can slightly change things on an election day,
But most Canadians don't believe it and many stay away,
First past  the post may allow a big time looser to win,
Because the majority of the voters voted against him.

Proportional representation is forbidden and can't be used,
This is one of the reasons why Canadians feel abused,
Binding referendums have also always been banned,
Though the Swiss have had them for years and it was always well planned.

Feb 23rd, 2010

mike_harris.jpg

By
James Bredin

You wont read this in the media because they play the same game,
In their Canadian establishment compelled to stay the same,
Our organized political systems are forbidden to change
Senators and governor generals will all be arranged.

Without Swiss style binding referendums; we're going no where fast,
Can't come into modern times because we're stuck in the past,
How to get this message to those at the top of the political pile?
Without binding referendums, they just tell us to wait a while.

Legal euthanasia is supported by Canadian folk,
This is quite different than the elites who hide in the smoke,
They refuse to touch euthanasia with a ten foot pole,
It's not part of their politically correct left/right wing goal.

SINGING FROM THE SAME HYMN BOOK
By
James Bredin

Why can the Swiss have binding referendums and we can't?
Plus the Swiss have euthanasia while we complain and rant?
While our media still tells us that we should be pompously proud,
And we should fall in line behind the politically correct crowd.

A million appointees in Ottawa don't find this very strange,
They are dedicated to the notion that there will be no change,
And binding referendums will be forever disapproved,
And appointees who do not quietly agree may be removed.

As we watch senators get appointed by one of their friends,
No relation to democracy that these actions transcend,
Those into democracy can see the hidden party hook,
Friends of friends in high places singing from the same hymn book.

Canadian Youth Criminal Justice Act
By
James Bredin

Three-month sentences for cruel criminals is not the way to go,
But soft-on-crime politically correct judges think they know,
Then it gets worse with their lenient Youth Criminal Justice Act,
Where violent vicious murderers can't be named and that's a fact.

Psychiatrist said he was likely to offend again, more,
Politicians refuse to change the law because it's a chore,
And the people are expected to never show their distaste,
Be quiet, silent and submissive and never show your face.

It appears as though we've gone soft and crazy in this great land,
With gutless wimpy politicians who tend to follow the band,
Injection sites and needle exchange places coming our way,
No binding referendums allowed so we better learn to pray.

How do we impress those in high places?
By
James Bredin

It's as though some weird cabal has taken charge of this great land,
It's known as political correctness and they're almost in command,
Their influence comes seeping through in every political change,
Injection sites and needle exchange sites and no one thinks its strange.

Sentenced criminals eligible for parole in about ten days
Soft on crime, pre-trial time and many other custody delays,
Binding referendums and proportional representation forbidden,
Politicians that promised not to increase taxes but didn't.

How do we go about getting an elected Senate please?
And an elected governor general who can appease,
And keeping criminals in jail until their sentence is done,
Especially those who have been in before and known to use a gun.

Don't you dare complain
By
James Bredin

Could the politically correct be compared to religious nuts?
Have our politicians ever shown that they have the slightest guts?
Are we compelled to be obedient, quiet and obey?
And believe that soft-on-crime judges have not gone astray.

Can't have binding referendums, to bring change to our nation,
Also forbidden is proportional representation,
We have injection site and needle exchange places here and there,
Where first past the post elections are considered quite fair.

And no one, absolutely no one will dare say a word,
Either from the establishment media or the underworld,
Oh but everything is great so no one can ever complain,
And this is what they will say in their next election campaign.

Don't ever fall in love
By
James Bredin

What can we do to bring about a political right turn?
Away from injection sites and needle-exchange concern,
Away from judges who are soft on crime and believe this is not strange,
Where young offenders can't be named as though we're the ones deranged.

A complete Senate of disciplined appointees who are not free,
And where we can't see the empty parliamentary seats on TV,
Where proportional representation is a forbidden sin,
And those into first-past-the-post know how they will win.

The new religion of political correctness is in charge,
And we are compelled to believe their ideas by and large,
Where the governor general like senators is far from free,
Illusions on top of illusions and not allowed to agree.

By

Why is it so difficult to bring about democratic change?
To impress on those at the top that we have gone a little strange,
Soft criminal justice, injection sites and needle exchange places,
It's called political correctness gone wild right in our faces.

Some politicians got there with a small proportion of the vote,
Due to our first-past-the-post system and what that did promote,
When three or more candidates ran, the vote was all spread out,
The combined loosers got many more votes than the winning lout.

Let's sit down and discuss proportional representation,
We could change instead of tolerating frequent frustration,
Of pompous politicians who shouldn't even be there,
Brought us political correctness and now it's not their affair.

Isolated Somewhere in Canada
By
James Bredin

We the people are not allowed to have binding referendums,
Our politicians are too busy writing in their memorandums,
They are bound to their party agenda and that does not mean you,
We the people isolated somewhere in Canada but who knew.

We need a law where Canadians have to vote or get fined,
The Australians have it and they seem to get along fine,
We need strong political leadership to point the right way,
Get rid of the Juvenile Offenders Act and name the crooks -- okay.

We need all those soft-on-crime judges afraid for their jobs,
And all convicted gun-and-gang guys in jail with their mobs,
We need an end to injection sites and needle exchange places,
Because Canadians have lost control in too many cases.

Changes are inevitable
By
James Bredin

We need term limits of two for all political positions,
To keep them from thinking that they on a life-long mission,
We need a law where Canadians have to vote or get fined,
We need binding referendums to get us out of this bind.

We need strong political leadership to point the right way,
Get rid of the Juvenile Offenders Act and name them -- okay,
We need soft-on-crime judges to change their ways or loose their jobs,
And bigger better jails to hold all active criminal mobs.

Mandatory minimum five years for those who use a gun,
Minimum thirty years for murder so as not to be outdone,
Change the idea that no one is allowed to change a thing,
One politician could lead the way and could be right or left wing.

Condoning heroin drug use is supposed to be illegal,
Unless an appointed provincial supreme court judge makes it legal,
This is what happened in British Columbia six years ago,
So they got their illegal-drug injection sites; this we know.

Therefore that government is involved in questionable drug use,
Is this not an indication that somewhere there is a screw loose?
And now they want a study in Toronto and Ottawa too,
Injection sites in Toronto and Ottawa but who knew?

And this study has been sanctioned by those at City Hall,
You don't see or read or hear much in the media at all,
Could be an upleasant surprise some morning when we wake up?
All the more so because it could be before our first coffee cup.

We have lots of rights except the right to die when we want,
On this issue our politicians are very nonchalant,
Euthanasia is not on their list of things to do or secure,
Our media wont touch this and they prefer to remain obscure.

We didn't pick the time we arrived and can't decide when to leave,
This is one Charter right they forgot to give, so feel deceived,
Suicide is against the law and you have to wait to die,
Even doctor assisted stuff is illegal and I don't know why.

Euthanasia may be illegal here but not everywhere,
Several European countries and states are into this affair,
Eventually some judge will say that we should be allowed to die,
But how long do we have to wait and how long can they deny?

PROROGUE ANY CHANGES
By
James Bredin

We are trained to read our papers and watch TV every day,
Media moguls will direct us what to do, think and what to say,
Politicians tend to despise binding referendums and change,
We the people are trained and not allowed to think that this is strange.

But the people nowadays read the news more on the Internet,
And the media moguls are not pleased about the new magnet,
This is not quite noticeable yet but could bring about change,
Elected senators and governor general could be arranged.

These radical changes are not allowed and not accepted yet,
And we're not allowed to even discuss the federal debt,
We can't even see the empty seats in parliament on TV,
That's when parliament is not prorogued and when will that be?

How many nurses, doctors, chemists, administrators and guards?
Will the drug addicts have to show their OHIP medical cards?
Will these injection sites be open twenty four hours both night and day?
And how will this increase our taxes when we have to pay?

Where are the injection site decisions made if not here?
He/she should have the guts to stand up and be counted without fear,
Because a large influx of dealers and addicts could change a lot,
Old established quiet neighborhoods could quickly turn to rot.

There are some politicians who said they don't want the sites here,
But others seem absent, deathly quiet or just fail to appear,
What's going on in the background here and what am I missing?
Does anyone remember Toronto The Good or am I reminiscing?

The people who organize the illegal-drug injection sites,
Are a graphic illustration of oddball activists into rights,
And weird decisions from the British Columbia Supreme Court,
Where no normal people in Canada would dare give their support.

You didn't know about this because of their secret quiet code,
They already have a needle exchange site somehow bestowed,
Another Supreme Court judge may grant them an injection site,
You may come to the conclusion that the public don't have much rights.

It disappeared from the media as if it was never there,
Though this is where democracy should be a major player,
Where binding referendums could force the politicians' hands,
And we could get back to normal in these great Canadian lands.

Message to the Prime Minister
By
James Bredin

I  wouldn't mind an appointment to the senate some day,
Sit around with the others with extraordinary high pay,
No need to think if all I have to do is vote the right way,
It doesn't matter what opposition or media say.

I could be an extremely good governor general too,
But I am not female, ethnic or CBC but who knew?
I would not make a fuss and abide by all the rules and laws,
Allow you to prorogue parliament and any other flaws.

I would like to stay a long time in one of those positions,
It should be easy because there are not many conditions,
Unfortunately no one in Ottawa or the CBC heard of me,
But that shouldn't make any difference, if you agree.

The Toronto Public Health strategy for injection sites,
Like Vancouver's six year old program of drug using delight,
Thanks to a strange British Columbia Supreme Court ruling,
They want another one here in Toronto too and no fooling.

All they need is permission from an appointed Supreme Court judge,
Without referendums and no one is allowed to hold a grudge,
And we're too politically correct to mention this,
Because in Toronto the Good, nothing could ever be amiss.

Are they getting carried away with Trudeau's Charter of Rights?
What about media silence and no political fights?
Will the incoming immigrant drug addicts have to show their cards?
At the free government injection sites and will there be no guards?

The advocates are excited about their controlled environment,
At their drug injection sites as an ongoing requirement,
Therefore these illegal drug injection sites should be accepted,
Everything would be legal and above board as expected.

Their research will focus on the potential impact as they pretend,
And all the criminal drug addicts in town will no doubt attend,
As the government assists them to assist with illegal drugs,
Add that to the soft-on-crime courts for criminals and thugs.

The fact that they have possession of illegal drugs doesn't count,
The cops will be told that they can't  take this into account,
All laws will be changed to accommodate these drug addicts,
And they can't be taken away and added to the convicts.

The needle exchange program is good, they say, but not good enough,
The drug-injection site advocates want to pull off another bluff
And we the people will learn to love it, believe it or not,
We're so politically correct, we can't believe this odd plot.

We watch and listen to the injection-sites program in motion,
And our politicians don't seem to want to make a commotion,
The drug addicts will buy their illegal drugs somewhere on the street,
From a criminal drug dealer who tries to look discreet.

It prevents HIV and other diseases the advocates say,
So they'll continue in broad daylight to Toronto's dismay,
Surely a symptom that we or the world is mentally ill,
But too many politicians seem extatic about this thrill.

How did Vancouver get their legal drug injection site?
Did the people vote in a referendum and are they all right?
Advocates say that the illegal drugs used are bought elsewhere,
Are the drug dealers on the street out front and should we care?

And now they want a sites in Toronto and in Ottawa too,
Pompous political Ottawa deserves one or maybe two,
Have we all gone mentally ill and lost complete control?
When did the war on drug-dealer crime go down the toilet bowl?

Is this real, right here in Canada, right now or am I dreaming?
Have the politicians fell under the spell of the drug dealers' scheming?
Are we so politically correct, that there's nothing we can do?
Then add to that the soft-on-crime courts that the drug dealers knew.

People of Toronto are in the dark about injection sites,
They might get one nextdoor in the middle a very dark night,
Because democracy doesn't seem to count on issues like this,
Let's hope we don't regret this if and when we reminisce.

This issue is not the sites so much as the folk who come and go,
Drug addicts who bought their drugs on the street with lots of dough,
Already have a needle exchange, complements of you and me,
They wont allow us binding referendums and they say we agree.

Our politicians like this system with no term limits in place,
Therefore some stay for life and look you right in the face,
Site funding from the Ontario HIV treatment network,
Could injection sites in this network be berserk.

Advice to the Governor General
By
James Bredin

Next time he wants  to prorogue parliament, tell him, "No!"
Tell him to establish binding referendums and make it so,
Tell him to abolish the appointed senate of friends,
And make the Charter for only Canadians with amends.

Tell him to take a stand for us, unlike his predecessors,
A long line of pompous useless political predators,
And when we talk of him in the past tense and ask what did he do?
We will know for sure, he was special, helped us out but it was due.

But of course you wont and no one knows for sure what's your view,
Except closed down parliament twice so changes are overdue,
I know I should apologize for being the first one to tell you,
But Canadians are too politically correct to review.

Supervised injection sites like those in Vancouver downtown,
Might be imposed in Toronto by advocates who don't fool around,
I'm sorry to keep mentioning something they have almost hid,
But once they're established they're impossible to get rid.

This will be done for the criminal drug addicts' delights,
And we will love them because it's all being done for human rights,
A controlled environment for those who buy drugs on the street,
They have doctors and lawyers and clinics and hospitals and priests.

They deny that they are recommending these injection sites,
It's only a study in Toronto to help human rights,
But it might be Ottawa that receives their injection sites,
Ottawa deserves these sites with Trudeau's Charter of Rights.

A little more than half Canadians even bother to vote,
Therefore lazy incumbent politicians have us by the throat,
Democracy should run with input from many many more,
Therefore compulsory voting and Internet voting galore.

City sanctioned study of injection site feasibility,
Vancouver style human rights for drug addicted nobility,
Toronto Public Health drug strategy if you can believe,
Is it possible that the people of Toronto are this naive?

Internet voting might solve some of these and more problems,
Especially for the many sitting in front of computer modems,
But those who make the rules want everything to stay the same,
Don't rock the boat or dare even think of change and what's your name?

A city-sanctioned study to examine injection sites,
Paid for by your very high taxes disguised as human rights,
City condoning illegal heroin and crack drug use,
City Council does not consider this as power abuse.

All symptoms of a very sick system in need of repair,
Attempting to pay their colleagues high legal bills in despair,
And injection sites for every drug criminal addict in town,
The people of Toronto seem to love it all so calm down.

Term limits should be two and Internet voting allowed,
These proposals will of course be opposed by the present crowd,
Some have been in office for longer than most people are alive,
It's a wonder that Toronto has been able to survive.

Toronto City Council reminds me of a horror movie,
They consider their manipulations and agendas groovy,
Caught between the devil, the civil suits and injection sites,
Add to that, they are also deep into homelessness and human rights.

You can step over those sleeping on the street near City Hall,
And City Council will never allow for political recall,
And if they put an injection site on or near your street,
You will be delighted by the strange people you will meet.

Political parties are forbidden at City Hall for some reason,
Usual Toronto City Council standard in their silly season,
And of course the soft-on-crime courts fill up the streets,
Councilors want to stay forever in their council seats,

TORONTO INJECTION SITES 9

By

We have no control of politicians so law suits are here,
Binding referendums would be a better way, without fear,
But binding referendums are forbidden where it could count,
And we could control Toronto City Council and their accounts.

As they hire their friendly consultants and we are left out,
Never tell the people what injection sites are all about,
We are merely numbers in a constituency barrel,
As they pretend they know what they are doing, to our peril.

History has shown that when people are laid back, tyrants take over,
Could be Nazis, Communists or nasty drug addicts moreover,
Democracy is not a gift with their hidden agenda plans,
Where people input and binding referendums are banned.

The pompous soft-on-crime radicals are now pulling the strings,
As they want needle exchange and injection sites and what this brings,
While we, the politically correct are trained to not talk back,
We are not politicians so shut up stay off their track.

We need more, better and bigger jails instead of injection sites,
What else can stupid politicians think up for human rights?
There is no doubt that some of our politicians should be in jail,
But how to put them there soon, without bail and without fail?

But something is dreadfully wrong that we're not allowed to see,
Can't have binding referendums so you're compelled to agree,
That's how the Nazis and Communists did it way over there,
No one protested and eventually it was too late to beware.

Where are the politicians that say, "Injection sites not allowed"?
Why can't they stand up and shout and be heard above the crowd?
Injection sites for illegal drugs are just banned in our town,
And all those needle-exchange sites should also be shut down.

Stricter courts and larger prisons could solve this little matter,
And advocates for injection sites could then cease their chatter,
Toronto has to return to the fifties or sixties once more,
When judges and justices in the courtrooms knew the score.

Of course we need to change a few of the newer vagrancy laws,
Get back to where we were before we got their stupid flaws,
And not just Toronto City Council but Ottawa too,
And when parliament finally opens again; do something new.

INJECTION SITES 6
By

Are these injection sites they talk about, a symptom of our times?
Where the courts have gone overboard about being soft on these crimes,
Where the advocates pretend they want input from you and from me,
With our input, they can then pretend and lie and say we all agree.

We are not allowed referendums on this important symptom,
We shut up and stay quiet and that's a Canadian custom,
Because they know what the result of a referendum would be,
Democracy is what they want to avoid at all costs, you see.

Our loony left politicians are more useless than our soft-on-crime courts,
They spend their time taxing, spending, traveling and watching sports,
But not one of them for one minute has a clue what's going on,
So it's injection sites soon, all day and all night till dawn.

Only politicians can speak out of both sides of their mouth,
As they pretend to know what injection sites are all about,
Catering to criminals and drug addicts doing illegal drugs,
Supervised they claim in a controlled environment for thugs.

And not just Toronto but Ottawa too and so few knew,
They have their own secret drug agenda and it involves you,
Their so called research will tell them what they can get away with here,
But they emphasize about HIV and hep C; is that clear?

Those opposed to their drug strategy will just have to shut up,
Because they say that the needle exchange sites are not good enough,
But why do we cater to these drug users instead of jail?
And leave them in there for many years and make sure they get no bail.

They deny that they are condoning the use of illegal drugs,
Still they seem to be assisting these drug addicted thugs,
They want injection sites but they wont say exactly where,
As they stay at Toronto City Council through this whole affair.

The advocates and odd funding manipulate politicians,
A carbon copy of the Vancouver site is their hidden ambitions,
It's hard to believe in this day and age, we're being led down this path,
No one seems to think much about the manipulated aftermath.

A small group of organized exponents preach this madness,
Catering to the illegal use of drugs and other extreme sadness,
As we look on helplessly afraid to speak up and get involved,
As the answers to Toronto's problems are far from getting solved.

Ottawa lost a court appeal case about drug injection sites,
Toronto City Council has sanctioned a study to addicts delights,
Therefore injections sites could be coming to a place very near you,
We're all going down this stinking sewer together so don't feel blue.

Toronto public health drug strategy is the fancy prance name,
A roundabout way of giving permission to drug user game,
These drug-use advocates will give their permission soon enough,
And you still don't have a clue so it will be pretty rough.

Oh... and there's a City Council election coming up soon,
Drug users and certain councilors await the opportune,

There's no doubt they'll have a program with a very fancy name,
Advocates will claim that there's proper supervision so no shame,
And heroin addicts with their illegal drugs can come and go,
Where and how they got these drugs though, the police can't know.

The trained staff will have sterile equipment for heroin addicts,
It doesn't matter if they are wanted by the cops in legal conflicts,
Advocate phony statistic research numbers will say this is good,
And should spread to other cities immediately; is that understood?

They claim to offer addiction counselling and treat disease,
For an escaped criminal drug addict, this should be a breeze,
And "Everyone" can always claim their Trudeau Charter Rights,
That plus the soft-on-crime courts makes for criminal delights.

Do they want to open an injection site maybe next door to you,
They'll call it a health clinic but it's not for sickness or the flu,
For heroin addicts to inject themselves with illegal drugs,
And the cops will have to tolerate these criminals and thugs.

They'll cover their backs by calling these illegal sites, health clinics,
A semi provincial legal term to calm down cynics,
They consider injecting illegal heroin as health care,
No one can question Canadian health care and no one would dare.

How far down this mentally-ill, illegal-drug road can we go?
Add to that, the lenient court system and we have to kowtow,
They're claiming Charter Rights for drug addicts but that's not new,
Can't build bigger and better jails for profit but who knew?

TORONTO CITY COUNCIL # 7
By

We don't seem to have any control over silly City Hall,
They seem to do what they like while we have to accept it and bawl,
The mere suggestion that maybe we should change things down there,
Maybe binding referendums and they would be more aware.

They consider this type of suggestion as more than heresy,
Like an oncoming global-warming climate-change prophesy,
They will not nod or listen or even give you the time of day,
Who are you to ask question make rules and get in their way?

The city is broke with a five hundred million dollar shortfall,
Don't ask a politician because  they know nothing at all,
You might wonder why and how a city could be in such a mess,
Waiting for the Pan Am Games to tax and spend more and impress.

These officious officials tend to think that they are there for life,
Maybe so, if they make the decisions that are completely right,
But if they have their own secret left-wing agenda -- not good,
Or they don't care about potholes or high crime; is that understood?

They are busy taxing and spending and traveling here and there,
Their secretaries will attend to any questions so take care,
It's as though these politicians arrived like spiders in the night,
They'll put  a rooming house next door to you, to add to your strife.

But will they give themselves a couple of raises again next year?
Added to the other raises they gave themselves without fear,
They're concerned about the homeless who sleep in parks and on the streets,
Wake them up and bring them to the Don Jail in their limousine fleets.

TORONTO CITY COUNCIL # 5

The idea of single-family neighborhoods may be on the block,
It was an old cherished idea but we could be in for a shock,
The developers can't make any money if things don't change,
Are city councilors listening to them and why is that so strange?

The decision about rooming houses has been delayed once more,
Decisions like this are easy to delay but hard to ignore,
Street people, hookers, panhandlers and whores living nextdoor,
Nice people except for the screeching and screaming all night galore.

And the left-wing-socialist media seem to think this is great,
We will know whose side they are on if it ever comes up for debate,
Of course they live in condominiums looking out at the lake,
They are not likely much involved and have nothing at stake.

TORONTO CITY COUNCIL # 4
By

Toronto has municipal elections every four years,
Many councilors stay on the job for life and have no fears,
Some have been there since long before many voters were born,
To question this election system, is to bring left-wing scorn.

There's a need to make garbage pickup an essential service,
Unionized municipal workers make politicians nervous,
So we could have another garbage or TTC strike soon,
That subway trip is not a sure thing now or in the afternoon.

The need for reform is urgent and get rid of first past the post,
Online voting and proportional representation diagnosed,
We need term limits and binding referendums at street level,
Political recall where life-time politicians revel.

About twenty percent of Toronto even bothers to vote,
No political parties so it's name recognition they promote,
But they do know they had a garbage strike for a month last year,
And most of the same politicians are still here without fear.

Politicians don't even canvas because they are locked in,
People preprogrammed so that politicians have to win,
No referendums or proportional representation here,
Left-wing media tend to go along with this without fear.

Many of the voters were not born when they were first elected,
Politicians who did nothing but got slush-fund connected,
Newsletters and fridge magnets, patting themselves on the back,
Thinly disguised vote buying and everything is on track.

Toronto City Council # 2
By

Our politicians gave us a garbage strike in 2009,
Most of them are still there and want to stay for life and that's fine,
Talk about the environment and forget pot holes in the road,
Don't ask them a question because they tend to talk in code.

Enough socialism to make an ardent communist blush,
Like real religious fanatics trying for communal mush,
While various budget committee members make decisions,
On their own agendas and overspend Toronto's provisions.

There are no political parties allowed down at street level,
Tied to this group or that group but not in league with the devil,
And there's worse, much worse, as provincial politicians look on,
Occasionally they too try to look intelligent as they yawn.

New faces on Toronto City Council are extremely rare,
Because many of the old ones want to spend all their lives there,
Because we have no term limits so they're allowed to do that,
Therefore few people bother to vote and there is no real combat.

These Toronto politicians scare the hell out of me,
They brought us the 2009 garbage strike and not for free,
But we're going to get a new Toronto mayor soon and thank God,
But which new do-nothing lazy idiot will get the nod?

As they pompously line up to register for the election,
Names that mean little or nothing to anyone's recollection,
They want a soft job for life at Toronto silly city hall,
Even party politics would help us make the election call.

MANDATORY JAIL TIME
By
James Bredin

Being tough on crime, they say, accomplishes nothing except cost,
And going down this tough-on-crime road, they say, could be a big loss,
Because, they say, prisons are only schools for more crime
Therefore we should find another way than prisoners doing time

I should apologize for my intelligent suggestions,
Though politicians are only interested in elections,
Ex prisoners who re offend should be kept in for life,
Mandatory long sentence if they used a gun or a knife.

We need a US style prison-for-profit system here.
Less expensive than our crazy soft system without fear,
Those who release violent criminals on bail should do their time,
Terrorists and those inclined, should stay in jail for life for their crimes.

OUR POLITICIANS GOING THROUGH AN ACT
by
James Bredin

Very few people in Ontario even bother to vote,
But this doesn't bother the politicians who are on remote,
Cushioned by the political party system of disguised poop,
Captured by some politically-correct nonsense group.

They want to tax and spend and lie and then tax and spend and lie more,
You wonder how they got where they are and still not know the score,
We can't vote for our prime minister because that's against their rules,
We can't have binding referendums because they know we are fools.

They do and decide what they like in Ottawa committee rooms,
These days they get worked up about climate change exhaust fumes,
Now if we could only impress them about binding referendums,
But they're busy buying Ottawa condominiums.

POLITICALLY CORRECT POLITICIANS
By
James Bredin

There is child poverty but it's the mothers who tend to groan,
Living on welfare in public housing, talking on a cell phone,
There is no need to get a husband if the state supports their kids,
She gets an apartment or a house instead of being on the skids.

There's no need to be a father if the state does the job,
Therefore hidden in the welfare system is a fatherless mob,
Where without fathers, gangs and guns are completely out of hand,
And people trapped and caught in the ghetto have no command.

Are we too far gone down this socialist road to circumvent?
What can we do to prevent this continued socialist descent?
Has the religion of political correctness taken hold?
When was the last time you saw a politician who was bold?

COMMUNIST ENVIRONMENTALISTS
By
James Bredin

International communists have moved to the Green Movement,
They themselves must think it's a nice change and a big improvement,
They want to help African dictators with lots of our money,
In the green movement they can pretend they are the Easter bunny.

During the Copenhagen Conference they were active indeed,
They wanted all these Third World communist dictators to succeed,
And stay on the Kyoto welfare system for ever and ever,
And you didn't even know because they were quite clever.

And you still don't know because the results are still unknown,
Hidden from the media in committee rooms and not shown,
But they still blame global warming and climate change on you and me,
They want our money so communist dictators can agree.

WE DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON
    By
James Bredin

Dictators on Kyoto welfare all walked out in fear,
At the global-warming climate talks in Thailand last year,
Like all welfare recipients, they want nothing to change,
That's why in Copenhagen they walked out and acted very strange.

But negotiators all denied that this ever occurred,
The politically correct media never said a word,
So poor African dictators need not worry for now,
Their international communist friends will look after them somehow.

Secretive politicians on committees pretend not to know,
Into a secret Swiss bank account will go most of our tax dough,
For African dictators, so they wont make a UN fuss,
And the politically correct media will not discuss.

A CONCLUSION TO ALL THIS CONFUSION
By
James Bredin

I think I'll stay far away from Afghanistan if I can,
Soldiers getting killed over there since this useless war began,
The place is too poor and too far away and nothing makes sense,
It's not just the lives but too much money in dollars and cents.

I can hear you now getting all enthusiastic and worked up,
As if this was a patriotic issue and I should wake up,
We're silent, politically correct with no hanging allowed,
If we catch a terrorist, we can't hang him but still feel proud.

But we abort and kill unborn babies every day by the score,
Thousands of Afghanistan refugees coming here and more,
Whose side are we on in this life and death war of illusion?
Will Canada find a conclusion to all this confusion?

THE PASSING PARADE
By
James Bredin

I am just a keen observer at the passing parade,
The good, the bad, the ugly, those who sinned and some who prayed,
Those who would stab you in the back at the drop of a hat,
And then pretend that it was alright to sit and have a chat.

Some were so ambitious that they worked for internal affairs,
And others who pretended that this was alright and who cares?
While I pretended, I was not watching the coming and the going,
Just a soldier down among the ranks of those not knowing.

Some completely disappeared into their own strange agendas,
I saw Thomas, I saw Peter and sometimes an exchange for Judas,
Some came, some went and some even caught cancer and died,
I even went to some of their funerals but I don't know why.

RADICAL ENVIRONMENTAL TYPES
By
James Bredin

The radical environmental types wanted us all broke,
As a result of the Copenhagen Conference in one stroke,
They wanted to send all our taxes to some Third World dictator,
And they would get a good name for themselves, maybe much later.

Every second-class politician is jumping up and down,
Since the Copenhagen Conference slowed down and went to ground,
But no one seems to know where it went or will it be back?
And will all those socialist left-wing politicians be still on track?

Copenhagen was media darling for months but disappeared,
This is exactly what every Third World dictator feared,
So their friends at the UN are going to stir up the shit,
They want us all to send them big bucks through the UN and commit.

THE UNSPOKEN SENSE OF SUPERIORITY
By
James Bredin

When politicians lie, and they lie a lot and sometimes get caught,
They should be ejected from political office on the spot,
So this should be written in a corrected constitution,
We could call it the first Canadian revolution solution.

But this wont happen because our politicians rule the day,
Even to the point where they manipulate their own large pay,
And then deny any conflict of interest allegations,
Especially in regard to tax and spend and pay complications.

Their sense of superiority says, don't step out of line,
Nothing can change and things have to stay as they are and that's fine,
Therefore the subject is never brought up, read or heard anywhere,
It's binding referendums is the subject so no need to stare.

THE DEAD GAELIC LANGUAGE
by
James Bredin

The Gaelic language was made dead according to their rules,
Forbidden in the then Queen Victoria's new national schools,
Even today some Irish scream that it's still alive and well,
Can't admit that it died long ago, so they feel they're in hell.

It's not nice to know that your language is long dead and gone,
You wont read or hear about this hurtful conclusion in song,
You wont see it in the cinema and was never heard in church,
You know, the place where pedophile priests have been known to lurk.

Of course, old newsworthy events like this are not worth a dime,
Only Israel revived a dead language, Hebrew at that time,
These vast changed events are seldom mentioned, these modern days,
Where certain historical events are looked back at, through a haze.

AN ORDINARY PEDOPHILE PRIEST
By
James Bredin

I haven't been to mass for a long time though I know it's a sin,
I'm apprehensive about those many hidden pedophile men,
These are not the religious thoughts that should be in my head,
Looking at pompous sanctimonious vestments, mostly red.

How can I tell a pedophile priest from an ordinary one?
Do they still wear their Roman collars despite having their fun?
Do they still say mass and hand out communion to those who confessed?
Do they still raise their hands and those who are kneeling are all blessed?

I haven't been to confession for fifty years or more,
Maybe this too is a mortal sin but I don't know the score,
When I finally die and get judged, will god throw me down to hell?
Down there with pedophile devils and that awful burning smell?

COPENHAGEN DELUSIONS
By
James Bredin

The climategate e-mails said the statistics were all fixed,
But developing dictatorships of the Third World were all transfixed,
Their secret Swiss bank accounts needed to be greatly increased,
The stupid excuse of climate change was convenient at least.

Therefore, they will call the  Copenhagen conference a success,
And international welfare dictators will show they're impressed,
While the taxes of capitalist countries will jump in this illusion,
We are not talking billions here but trillions in this conclusion.

Do our politicians loose their minds when they are elected?
Want to join the religion of climate change crowd and be selected,
Copenhagen should have been and could have been a big joke,
But because of their delusions, we are all likely to end up broke.

SWISS BANK ACCOUNTS OF AFRICAN DICTATORS
By
James Bredin

The Swiss bank accounts of African dictators have just improved,
Because the Copenhagen global-warming crowd have just approved,
And it's possible that the remainder of us could go broke,
Or did they dream up some economic international joke?

The global warming crowd have just published that we're likely doomed,
Unless dictators get billions to start off, moving to trillions soon,
Without binding referendums there is nothing we can do,
Climategate figures meant nothing to this hidden-agenda crew.

Without binding referendums, we are merely party members,
Inconsequential numbers that politicians hardly remember,
Those appointees with the hidden agendas have no debates,
They want to sent all our money to demanding Third World states.

WAS COPENHAGEN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNISM?
By
James Bredin

Was Copenhagen an international system to spread the wealth?
Increase our taxes and put us deep down in UN debt,
Let's hope our traveling politicians know which end is up,
And Copenhagen like Kyoto was another complete screwup.

African dictators want billions for their Swiss bank accounts,
Then increased to, trillions because billions is a trivial amount,
And they want us obliged to pay and pay and pay some more,
And if we don't pay and pay, the United Nations will roar.

And we are the zombies down at the bottom of the pool,
Without binding referendums there is nothing we can do,
And this climate control global warming has all been arranged,
Are we prisoners of their communist system that can't change?

COPENHAGEN IS A GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATION
By
James Bredin

Copenhagen is an illustration of how we were wrecked,
Hijacked by a left-wing group of politically correct,
Africa said they would accept twenty billion dollars right now,
Has to be a hundred billion in ten years though... somehow.

This hysteria of the communists who joined the green movement,
In order that the West will be denied any and all improvement,
Communist/socialist/progressive/dictators want to be paid,
A politically correct system where we were betrayed.

They will feel better when their high Swiss bank accounts jump up,
Rising oceans, sinking cities, melting icecaps should be enough,
The hysteria of Copenhagen will bring it all home,
Our politicians think that fighting this is too tiresome.

NO CHARTER RIGHT TO LIFE AT THE ABORTION CLINIC
By
James Bredin

Canadian unborn babies should have Charter rights to their lives,
Instead of abortionists with their white coats and long sharp knives,
And we're so politically correct that no one complains,
And what to do about it, and what are those dead babies' names?

It's party politics where we can't have an independent thought,
No binding referendums where unborn babies are distraught,
Can't call it homicide because that's banned by the pompous elite,
Canadian appointed Supreme Court were not very discreet,

Being politically correct does not keep babies alive,
They're being replaced as the countless refugee claimants arrive,
And no one seems to be overly bothered by all these events,
Politicians busy in Copenhagen for what that represents.

Bigger and Better Ghettos
By
James Bredin

They're going to build bigger and better ghettos for poor folk,
They'd like to impress upon the voters that this is not a joke,
More unwed mothers add to a community on the skids.
They don't know what to do about the violence and fatherless kids,

Almost every weekend one of them gets shot believe it or not,
Few witnesses come forward and the shooter is seldom caught,
Then add no capital punishment and soft-on-crime courts,
Pompous politically correct politicians give support.

Then add left-wing socialist media that think they know it all,
As they pump out their left wing propaganda and try to install,
Where can we find a politician to get us out of this mess?
Or are we too far down in this socialist hole to expect success?

THE COPENHAGEN CLIMATE-CHANGE CROWD
By
James Bredin

The Copenhagen climate-change crowd are making a lot of noise,
Sound like a religious group full of pomposity and poise,
Or international busybodies claiming to know it all,
The ups and the downs, the ins and the outs and nothing small.

Canadians signed onto Kyoto but Americans refused,
And with Kyoto welfare nations, the US was not confused.
Those countries that lined up for Kyoto compensation stuff,
Dictators with large Swiss bank accounts seldom got enough,

So Copenhagen is Kyoto with religious belief,
Plus their pompous propaganda say we are headed for grief,
International socialists want Canada to lie down and sign on,
Global warming could start soon maybe by tomorrow at dawn.

THE SWISS HAVE BINDING REFERENDUMS

by
James Bredin

The Swiss have binding referendums so why are we forbidden?
In Canada and the US, this is an issue that is well hidden,
The media seldom notice this and why should this be strange?
The various establishments here and there, want nothing to change.

No Canadian politician wants us to be this free,
They're busy in Copenhagen at the moment and on TV,
So binding referendums will not be spoken about or arranged,
In fact nothing including Trudeau's Charter will be changed.

Unfortunately the people have never gone down this road,
It's risky and new and therefore nothing like this can be bestowed,
It has to be arranged and no one knows when where or how,
Therefore there's no chance that binding referendums will be allowed.

THE FATHERLESS SON
By
James Bredin
He was the fatherless son of an unwed welfare mum,
Then again so were his friends in the gang and some had a gun
In a society where political correctness was the norm,
Where media silence or human-rights courts seldom informed.

And the gang colors were shown often and no need for debate,
The public knew little or nothing about the gangland hate,
But inside their own welfare ghetto, the gang had respect,
No one there, absolutely no one, could show any disrespect.

But then he got shot dead one evening for no apparent reason,
No witnesses came forward because that would be high treason,
And the funeral home was full while activists made announcements,
Plus media pages of bland statistical pronouncements.

NO FAITH IN POLITICIANS
By
James Bredin
I worked day and night to elect one particular prime minister,
Eventually he gave us the GST which I considered sinister,
Therefore my faith in politicians went down below zero,
Not since Mike Harris have I seen a political hero.

Politically correct tolerance has gotten out of hand,
Trained by media moguls with their heads buried in the sand,
And this new politically correct religion is fierce indeed,
Brought us soft-on-crime courts where many criminals plead.

It never ceases to amaze me, how important they say they are,
Politicians I'd like to help but they are far too bizarre,
Where binding referendums and political recall are banned,
But lots more taxing and spending and overseas traveling planned.

NO CANADIAN POLITICAL INPUT

By
James Bredin

We can’t vote for our prime minister and we don’t find this strange,

We can’t have binding referendums because they refuse to arrange,

We can’t have proportional representation because they don’t like,

Establishment Ottawa crowd busy on an exercise bike.

Can’t have set-date elections anywhere though they did pass that law,

Then they decided they didn’t like it and went and found a flaw,

We can’t change Trudeau’s Charter of Rights though some say we can,

Written for “Everyone” in the world according to Trudeau’s plan.

Can’t have political recall for useless politicians,

Who refuse to abide by their constituents’ wishes,

Party political decisions in cloistered committee rooms,

No need for public input here, Canadians seem to assume.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND CLIMATE CHANGE CALLING
By
James Bredin

Are the human rights crowd and climate control crowd related?
Are these new religions and are they loved or are they hated?
Are they both the same, in that they are politically correct?
If we believe in one and not the other, will our souls be wrecked?

Will the Copenhagen negotiations change things around?
Are there any skeptics allowed and how does that sound?
Should we believe the scientists or the pompous politicians?
Should we look up at the sky for meteorological conditions?

Are some getting carried away with ideological convictions?
Does human rights have some believable contradictions?
Is it just coincidence that these two religions arrived?
And if you don't believe in either, should you feel deprived?

TORONTO'S FUTURE
By
James Bredin

Canadians are told and trained what to do and what to think,
We are good, we are happy and have Charter Rights with a wink,
And we are going to have road tolls here and there everywhere soon,
Our tax-and-spend politicians will take every opportune.

Too many people with cars who should take the subway, bike or walk,
And sitting on the subway is good because people seldom talk,
This new generation will just have to learn how to smile,
Because the illustrious Pan Am games will be here in a while.

And no binding referendums or recall will be allowed,
Canadians might start to show disrespect and dissent out loud,
Slaves to political correctness and our human rights courts,
Tax and spend for the soon-to-arrive Pan Am games and sports.

THE SOFT COURT SYSTEM

By

James Bredin

Criminals out of jail early can continue their crime sprees,

It's like a politically correct get-out-of-jail card free,

Soft appointed judges and lawyers don't like long jail time,

Claim mandatory minimum sentences do not reduce crime.

Therefore lights sentences seem to be all the fashion these days,

And terrorist type criminals never have to change their ways,

But very long sentences do at least keep them off the streets,

And does cut down on the number of their criminal repeats.

And that political illusion of a crack down on crime,

More and more political window dressing all the time,

And who are these politically correct types who run the courts?

Invisable bureaucrats somewhere who don't need your support.

THE SO-CALLED CRACKDOWN ON CRIME
By
James Bredin

Some politicians claim to be having a crackdown on crime,
Though lawyers and judges and criminals are still having a time,
With all those soft-on-crime decisions being made day after day,
And legal aid paying for everything in every single way.

Is it all an illusion to keep the public off their backs?
And without binding referendums or recall, no one keeps tracks,
Pompous political parties making policy announcements,
The establishments and the media follow with pronouncements.

What can we do about their forever window dressing?
Their useless endless illusions, more a curse than a blessing,
Where can we find a politician who will bring about some change?
Desperate for binding referendums if someone could arrange.

THE CANADIAN SYSTEM NEEDS TO CHANGE
By
James Bredin
The Canadian people are forbidden to change a thing,
Could be compared to a bird trying to fly on only one wing,
No binding referendums or proportional representation,
Things have to stay as they are for the foreseeable duration.

There's Trudeau's Charter of Rights with rights for "Everyone" on earth
And they're all coming here now to see what it's worth
They will outnumber us soon but it's all politically correct,
Even to mention this, is to show Ottawa disrespect.

The half of Canadians who refuse to vote know what they feel,
Why bother to vote like a trapped caged animal who squeals,
We have party politicians who are locked in their agenda,
Plus obedient journalists who pump out their propaganda.
